Higher Education

Odessa College in Pecos

Odessa College (OC) Pecos is the Odessa College’s largest extension site, offering Pecos residents easy access to credit and noncredit courses as well as student services that include admissions, financial aid, new student orientation, testing and tutoring.

In addition to GED and online continuing education options, OC Pecos offers the following health career programs:

  • Certified Nursing Aide
  • Phlebotomy Technician
  • Medical Office Skills

OC Pecos opened its doors in the summer of 1999 when an Odessa doctor and his wife donated a 27,000-square-foot building in Pecos to house the new campus. Later, after renovations to the building were made possible by an $860,000 economic development administration grant, the campus grew to house administrative and faculty offices, technical and vocational learning labs, and a student lounge.
